A teenage kung fu flick enthusiast is buying DVDs from his favourite shopkeeper (Chan), when he grabs a golden staff and is magically transported to ancient China and becomes part of folklore.

It’s 1980s Britain and our hero Will, a young boy living a sheltered life with his religious family, gets to see the movie Rambo: First Blood because his new friend Lee has a pirated copy. Will agrees to be the stuntman for Lee’s home movie tribute to Rambo. The project wins them popularity at school but soon it’s more than they can handle. A coming-of-age story for our times.
