’Tis the season
to be Holly

Audrey Hepburn’s dresses are up for auction in London

NOT ONLY IS VOYAGER’S October cover star, Anna Friel, reprising Audrey Hepburn’s most famous role as Holly Golightly in the theatrical adaptation of Breakfast at Tiffany’s in the West End; Britain’s foremost vintage fashion dealers, Kerry Taylor Auctions, are preparing to sell a historic collection of Hepburn couture and accessories. For three days from 6 December, you can view and bid on a dazzling selection of items from the star’s own wardrobe. Though its most famous item – the Givenchy dress worn in the opening scenes of Breakfast – was auctioned off back in 2006, there are still plenty of pieces with that unique, Audrey appeal. Reserve prices for frocks start around £8,000 to £10,000. Alternatively, you can always slip on your own little black dress and take an early morning cab to 25 Old Bond Street, W1. That, film fans, is Tiffany’s the jewellers of course. Alex Rayner
