Marc Jacobs’ £1 shop
Back in May Voyager’s editor, Robina Dam, wrote about Mount Street, London’s hottest shopping destination. I was a little put off by the Ferraris and general West London glitz. Well, until I discovered quite how cheap the Marc by Marc Jacobs store was. As other commentators noted when it opened this spring, the shop is practically a one pound store. More accurately, the Marc shop has a high turnover of stock and cuts prices heavily on their older lines; 80%-90% off is not an uncommon discount. These colourful mesh bags only cost £1 each. I bought a bunch. One went to Robina, in return for the tip off and I’m saving the rest for Christmas presents.
