Andy Murray: Wimbledon’s winner in waiting?

If Andy Murray goes all the way, he’ll be the first Brit since Fred Perry to carry the title

Rackets at dawn today as the Wimbledon season kicks off and we at Team Voyager are rooting for Andy Murray. It’s not because he is a Brit; last year we were behind the Swiss Roger Federer (whom we profiled in our June 2008 issue) but because he’s a major player in our magazine’s current issue. The Telegraph’s tennis correspondent Mark Hodgkinson interviewed Murray for us after hanging out with him at events earlier this year. “He seems to win matches that I don’t attend,” Hodgkinson tells us. “I was going to ask him how much he’d pay me to stay away from Wimbledon.”
