A rose for Sienna Miller?
Chelsea Flower Show’s stars come out to smell the roses

Until last week I was a Chelsea Flower Show virgin – have always loved receiving flowers, but doing anything more seemed like hard work. But clearly a lot of the other celebrity visitors think so too – rocker Bryan Adams was trying out the hammock in a nursery and Sir Mark Thatcher was being taken briskly round the garden furniture area when I tried to eavesdrop.
My favourite quote though comes courtesy of actress Sienna Miller, overheard saying to her mother: “I want a rose named after me.”
I would refer her to the infamous quote by former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt: “I once had a rose named after me and I was very flattered. But I was not pleased to read the description in the catalogue: no good in a bed, but fine up against a wall.”
