Distinctive Vintages has to be the headiest book on grape fermentation yet

There aren’t many production plants that could fill 240 large format pages of so fine a picture book. Alain Stella’s Distinctive Vintages proves just how impressive the
Moët Hennessy chateaux in the Cognac, Champagne and Bordeaux regions truly are. Combining a thorough history of each of the drinks houses, with harvesting
techniques and viniculture details, as well as countless snippets of fine wine ephemera, the book’s embarrassment of details is almost as intoxicating as the recherché
booze it celebrates. Filled with fold out spreads, artfully cut inserts and an incredible array of archive photography, even a casual wine buff couldn’t help but
applaud MH’s spectacular means of production.

The limited edition boxed item will be out in late November.
Distinctive Vintages: The Wines and Spirits of Moët Hennessy is published by Flammarion, £120.
