bmi reaffirms its punctuality record

align="right"src="http://www.bmivoyager.com/images/2008/may/voyager_may_119.jpg">
bmi has once again proved our commitment to punctuality, with the official
statistics published recently by the CAA showing bmi and bmi regional as top
performers in the field

We’re proud to announce that bmi has kept our crown as the most punctual
British airline out of London Heathrow, 20 places ahead of BA and 22 places
ahead of Virgin Atlantic.

bmi regional has been named the UK’s most punctual airline for 2007 for the
third successive year. 90.29% of flights were on time (within 15 minutes of
departure) in the period January-December 2007 and delays averaged a time of
just 5.91 minutes. bmi regional was in pole position at all of the surveyed UK
airports from which it operates. As a consistent top performer in punctuality, bmi
regional have been named the most punctual airline overall for 2005, 2006 and
now 2007.

Developments in onboard communications

Until now, using regular phones, smartphones (like the
BlackBerry or iPhone) and laptops equipped with GPRS to
exchange text messages and emails, was prohibited. This will
soon be changing, thanks to a trial of the Mobile OnAir system
starting in spring 2008 on one of our Airbus A320 aircraft.

bmi will be the first UK airline to trial this pioneering cell phone
service which effectively reduces the energy levels emitting from
electronic devices, so they do not affect aircraft systems.

bmi is continuing to be committed to providing a comfortable
and relaxing environment for all our passengers, and will be
advising passengers on this particular aircraft that they are
welcome to use their phone/PDA/laptop in silent or discreet mode.

Look out for more information on the service in the next few
months, or go to www.flybmi.com.
