3. Digital camera
GE is a newcomer to the
British digital camera market.
The GE A835 is marketed as
an entry-level model, but with
a high eight megapixels, 3x
optical zoom and a 2.5” LCD
screen, it represents a pretty
good start. Other standard
features include ‘panoramic
stitching’ (whereby three
images make up a wide-view
photo), image stabilisation, 14
scene modes and red eye
removal. It uses AA batteries
and comes in black, red, blue,
silver and white.

4. MacBook Air laptop
For a slim, lightweight
laptop, the aluminium-cased
MacBook Air is the choice
for travellers. It’s just 0.76”
at its widest point but still
boasts a good-sized 13.3”,
LED back-lit screen and a fullsize

camera is built in, plus the
track pad has multi-touch
gesture support, so you can
