Turtle power

NOT ALL THE guests at Petit St Vincent, a private island resort in the Grenadines (closest airport Barbados),
are people. The hotel is now breeding its own turtle colony in an effort to boost dwindling numbers. It’s a
draw for tourists too, so everyone’s a winner. The wild turtles choose for themselves to stay at the hotel,
thanks to a tempting pond on the grounds and a guaranteed daily share of the restaurant’s fresh fi sh.

Hip to be square

Looking for a place to sleep in
Copenhagen? Try The Square, which
has just won the World Travel Award
title Denmark’s Best Boutique
Hotel. The name refers both to its
location on the Rådhuspladsen, or
Town Hall Square, and to an interior
design scheme of clean, straight lines
and right angles. There’s only one
exception made – for designer Arne
Jacobsen’s circular ‘Egg’ chair.
