How to navigate one of the world’s busiest airports

1 Touchdown to downtown
Want to speed through the airport and on to your final
destination? Simply pick your starting point and follow
the signs…
2 Choose your transport
Bus Just follow signs in the airport for the Central Bus Station, where there’s a choice of coach and bus services into the city. There’s a travel centre in the station that provides full service details, or you can purchase tickets for the Airbus Shuttle from the National Express desk in the arrivals hall.
Underground Follow signs for the London Underground, where Piccadilly line trains leave every five minutes at peak times, or every nine minutes at off-peak times and weekends. It takes around 50 minutes to get to Piccadilly Circus. Trains run to Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Rail: Heathrow Express This leaves the airport every 15 minutes between 05:03 and 00:01, taking 15 minutes to reach London’s Paddington station.
Taxi These wait on the international arrivals forecourt and take around 45 minutes to get to central London.
Car rental Car rental desks are located in the arrivals halls. It takes approximately 45-60 minutes to get to central London. When leaving Terminal 1, follow exit signs to the access/ exit tunnel. Follow signs to the M4 motorway, which will eventually bring you into London.
