Abbey days

With neighbours like La Monnaie theatre and the Opera
House, Brussels’ latest luxury hotel, The Dominican, has
a lot to live up to. But its setting in the site of a former
abbey, with sweeping archways and a central courtyard,
means it’s off to a very good start. There’s nothing
monastic about the 150 elegant and individually designed
rooms though – or the bar, restaurant and fi tness room.
