Check in at your convenience – now there are four ways to check in for your bmi flight

1. ONLINE CHECK-IN

You can check in online if you have an electronic ticket on most shorthaul routes out of London Heathrow and most bmi regional routes out of
Manchester, Leeds/Bradford, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Brussels. Routes will be added over time, so please check
flybmi.com for the full list of live routes.

Online check-in is available from 24 hours to just 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time, at flybmi.com/onlinecheckin. You can choose your seat by using the online seatmap (excludes tiny fares).

Print out your boarding card at home and you’re free to go straight through to departures on arrival at most airports. If you have baggage to check in, just take your bmi online boarding pass to a bmi bag drop at the airport at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time.

Customers travelling from London Heathrow, Belfast City, Dublin**, Edinburgh, Leeds/Bradford and Manchester can now use our online fast bag drops***. For more
information, please visit flybmi.com

2. SELF CHECK-IN

Passengers on tiny and standard fares must check in using bmi self check-in machines where they are available. These may also be used by premium economy
and business travellers.

To get your boarding pass, insert your ticket, or the credit or diamond club card that you used as ID when you booked your flight. You can also scan your passport to
identify yourself or, if you booked direct with flybmi.com, you can enter your booking reference or scan the barcode on the email that you receive prior to travel.

Business or premium economy passengers can reserve a seat for a colleague: perfect if you want to sit together, but arrive at different times. You can choose which seat you’d like by using the online seatmap (excludes tiny fares).

Passengers with a return check-in within 24 hours will be automatically return-checked. Checking in luggage? Use our fast bag drops – look out for the signposts. Self check-in machines are located at London Heathrow, Aberdeen, Amsterdam, Belfast City, Brussels, Dublin, Durham Tees Valley, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Hanover, Jersey, Leeds/Bradford, Manchester and Norwich airports.

3. PRIORITY CHECK-IN DESK

If you’re flying business or premium economy, take advantage of our priority check-in desks. Regardless of fare choice, bmi diamond club gold members can also use these desks, and silver card members can use priority check-in when they travel on any fare except tiny fares.

4. bmi WEB POINTS****

At the airport, there are bmi web points that give access to flybmi.com. They’re another convenient way for you to check in online when you arrive more than 30 minutes before your flight. You can also use them to book flights more than two hours ahead, and to check your bmi diamond club account.

*Car rental offered for sale by Hertz, hotel accommodation offered for sale by
Hotelopia, travel insurance offered for sale by AIG and car parking offered for
sale by NCP.
** Please note: passengers printing their boarding cards at home and flying
from Dublin must present an acceptable form of photographic ID. When you
drop your bags at our online fast bag drop desks at Dublin, your printed boarding
pass will be exchanged for a boarding card which will enable you to proceed
through security.
*** Visit flybmi.com for an up-to-date list of airports offering this facility.
****Available around the check-in areas at London Heathrow, Glasgow and
Edinburgh, and in the lounge areas at Heathrow and Manchester.

Connect more smoothly

The Star Alliance network makes your connections quicker

The Star Alliance network is a group of 17 airlines (see list, above) working together – in total, we operate 16,000 daily departures to 855 airports in 155 countries.

Co-ordinated arrivals and departures, and closer airport facilities wherever possible, speed up flight connections between member airlines. For example, with connecting
flights you can collect all your boarding passes at the start of your journey.

You can earn frequent flyer mileage on any Star Alliance scheduled flight, so it’s easier to reach Silver and Gold status. On international flights, there’s priority baggage handling for Star Alliance Gold, first class and business class passengers, plus priority check-in and reservations for Gold passengers.

We have more airport lounges (620) than any other alliance.
