• While filming Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) in Cambodia, she was inspired to undertake humanitarian work. She began visiting refugee camps around the world and was then formally appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
• Jolie, 32, has three adopted children: two sons Maddox, 6, from Cambodia and Pax, 3, from Vietnam, and daughter Zahara, 2, from Ethiopia. She is reported to devote one-third of her income to savings, one-third to living expenses and onethird to charity.
• Jolie filmed Mr & Mrs Smith with Brad Pitt, 43, in 2004 and after his divorce from Jennifer Aniston in 2005, they officially became a couple. They have one birth daughter, Shiloh, 18 months.
