Walter Sparrow (Carey) is given a novel, The Number 23, by his wife Agatha (Madsen) as a birthday present. Haunted by nightmarish fantasies and the fear he’ll commit a murder, he goes on a quest to unlock the secrets of the number 23.

Four stories are artfully interwoven by their connection to a gun. Jake Blues (Belushi) is released from prison only to discover that the Catholic home in which he and his brother (Aykroyd) grew up is about to be taken over unless he can raise $5,000 in a few days. New York detectives Elmer C Robinson (Travolta) and Charles Hildebrandt (Gandolfini) set out to stop the killings and capture the sociopathic couple.

IN THE LAND OF WOMEN

STARRING: Adam Brody, Elena Anaya, Olympia Dukakis, Meg Ryan

Carter Webb (Brody) leaves Los Angeles after being dumped by his true love, Sophia (Anaya). He goes to care for his ailing grandmother (Dukakis) in suburban Michigan, where he meets the family over the road: Sarah Hardwicke (Ryan) and her two daughters. Through his relationships with these four women, he finds a new meaning to his life.

SMOKIN’ ACES

LETTERS FROM IWO JIMA

STARRING: Ken Watanabe

Clint Eastwood directs this tale of courage and bravery. General Tadamichi Kuribayashi (Watanabe) leads the Japanese resistance to the massive American onslaught of the island of Iwo Jima. Kuribayashi’s unexpected strategies led his soldiers to an arduous fight for their lives, and transformed what was projected to be a quick and straightforward defeat into nearly 40 days of heroic combat.

HAMADA YELAB

STARRING: Salah Abdallah, Ghada Adel, Ahmed Rizk, Shams

Hamada (Rizk) has one dream: to become rich. To fulfill this dream he participates in TV contests, which he sees as the only way to make money fast. His true love, Laila (Adel), helps him to win the contests, but Hamada begins to realise that his get-rich-quick plans are not what life’s about. To find success, he discovers that the rewards lie in hard work.

HAPPY FEET

Emperor penguins find their soulmates through song, so problems arise when Memphis (Jackman) and Norma-Jean (Kidman) have a son, Mumble (Wood), who is the worst singer in the world.
